About
It takes very little time to create beauty; in fact some of the most awe-inspiring things in our world happen far too fast for our eyes to see. Concepts like, “a fraction of a second,” or “in the blink of an eye,” are often used inaccurately. With combining my passions for macro and high-speed photography, I set out to show you what really happens in 1/12,000th of a second.
These photographs are a study of form, time, gravity and inertia. What intrigues me the most is no matter how much control I have over the process, the end result is always unique. Liquid collisions are like snowflakes in that way; you will never find two alike. The effortless curves, elegant shapes and flowing patterns are something only nature can create...but never duplicate. With these images, I hope to provide you a glimpse into the magic of what actually takes place in the blink of an eye.
